she started her musical training at the age of 6 after she took initial training from her father. from sa re ga ma pa to various other reality shows, she has shown her talent at an extreme level. 7 years of musical training and still continuing. can you believe that? a 14 year old could be a little expert of classical music?

This 14 year old has been trained for 7 years of Hindustani music and continuing khayal. She takes her lessons from Pandit Nihar Ranjan Banerjee, who is the HOD vocal of Rabindra Bharati University. She became first in Kheyal in junior group organized by Bharat Sanskriti Utsab in cooperation with Ministry of Govt of India at Jorasanko Thakurbari.

She has also been awarded as a privileged candidate to participate in international competition to be held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2019. Along with this she is the winner of third prize in All India Singing competition of middle aged group in classical khayal held by Sarbo Bharatia Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad. In 10th jan 2018. She amazed people by singing Hanuman Chalisa under the banner of Everybody productions company in Mumbai in their youtube channel which reached 22 thousand views in just three months. She was also selected as an A-grade artist in a popular Bengali channel Rupasi Bangla in her first audition on 22 march 2018 and performed at Obela Adda in channel one. Won “Best performer of the event” of FERIA 2018, an inter school and college competition. She has become the youngest ever contestant winning 3rd prize in solo singing competition INTEGRATION 2018 held at Indian Statistical Institute Baranagar, Kolkata till date 21st jan 2018.

She has created world record in three categories, Bengali Modern songs, Shyama sangeet and Folk songs, and won 3rd prize in Rabindra sangeet on 2017. She got selected on Zee bangle for sa re ga ma pa lil champs 2017 and went till Mumbai auditions. Won 2nd prize at Nazrul Geeti and various such contests in 2016. She also came on television with her talent as she was seen on Tara Tv in a live program “Take a break”. Participated in famous tv show “Mayer super kid” in 2015, and she also did a playback for a popular Bengali serial “E AMAR GURUDAKSHINA” in colours bangla channel. Thus giving such extraordinary performances on such an young age, she has definitely inspired other kids who have passion for classical music.

Not just music gives you inner peace but also helps you to connect to the spiritual world. Classical music is the source of all genres of music and is the purest form of music. It’s the toughest of all. Whether its kheyal, ragas, sargams, each of them needs to practiced regularly , to maintain the voice and vocal chords. And Oindrila has achieved an incredible voice and passion for classical music, initially through her father and after learning from her Guru Pandit Nihar Ranjan Banerjee, she says whatever may be the situation, she practices for 2 hours regularly and devotes her soul to music at the age of 6 and believes that one day she will become a successful playback singer.
